Young girl with Laryngotracheitis

She was ventilator and trach dependent when Accurate started services with her. She requires 23 hours of nursing per day. With the help of family support and the AHC nurses she has been weaned from her vent and de-cannulated.  She attends school and is a very active and  happy child.  She remains Gastrostomy dependent due to increased risk for aspiration and needs suctioning, so the nurses need to monitor for any signs of infection or aspiration.  She does have a Port-a-cath which makes it easier to keep her at home and provide IV antibiotics when needed.
